CANONS REGULAR OF THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS STANDARD LITURGY ACC. TO THE ROMAN RITE
Rite of Eucharistic Exposition & Benediction
EXPOSITION
The Canonry Canon Principal, or whom he appointed to preside at the Eucharistic Exposition Liturgy, approaches the chapel altar, opens the Tabernacle and removes the Consecrated Host, placing It in the luna and inserts carefully the luna in the monstrance, securing carefully the monstrance glass door. Next, he lights the candles on either side of the monstrance, normally 3 candles each side. He then adjusts the position of the monstrance standing on the altar so it faces directly the chapel congregation, or the camera, if the liturgy is being transmitted online.
The Canon kneels on the right knee, and rising back up, places 3 spoonfuls of incense into the prepared thurible, and blesses the incense in the Thurible, closing the lid after the blessing. He takes the thurible and comes to the prie-dieu in front of the altar, kneels and incenses the Blessed Sacrament 3 x 3 times. Next, he stands and incenses the altar Crucifix 3 x 3 times and the altar itself 1 x 1 time, covering the length of the altar. He replaces the thurible in its resting place and returns to the prie-dieu, kneels and recites or sings one of the following hymns in either the Latin or the English versions:

The Word from highest heaven came,
yet left not His Father's side;
to do His work on earth He came,

gave Himself to every heart.Beneath the forms of bread and wine,
He gave His Flesh and Blood divine,
that man, in body and in soul,

O sacred banquet!
in which Christ is received,
the memory of His Passion is renewed,
the mind is filled with grace,
and a pledge of future glory is given to us.

Praise the Lord, all ye nations:
praise Him, all ye people.For His merciful kindness is great toward us:
and the truth of the Lord endureth forever.Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Antiphon: Let us adore forever the Most Holy Sacrament!
Now standing, the presiding Canon Regular may take one of the following options:
If the Exposition is being transmitted for the benefit of the faithful online, via Internet Social Media, he may opt to retire to the Sacristy, leaving the webcams running for the duration of the exposition. In this case, the presiding Canon Regular must set a time for benediction and reposing of the Blessed Sacrament, thus bringing the Liturgy to a close. Or, alternatively…
The Exposition is to resume, accompanied by the presiding Canon Regular for the whole duration of the Liturgy until it comes to a close. In this option, a mix of readings or psalms may be recited, with or without an optional homily. Then either a period of unaccompanied, quiet time may take place until the set time the Liturgy is due to end with the Benediction, or the Liturgy ends with the Benediction immediately after the accompanied Liturgy, following the homily. This option is equally valid for online Liturgy or onsite Liturgy with a congregation of the faithful physically present.
If the Exposition is aimed at in-house adoration, the presiding Canon Regular either retires, returning for Liturgy of Hours prayers, accompanied by the other canons or brothers, if any present at the time of the Exposition; or alternatively he may remain on duty in the chapel, dedicating the day to adoration and prayer, Liturgy of Hours, Rosary, chaplet or just silent contemplation.
The Exposition is aimed at in-house adoration, but will still be transmitted online to the Social Media. However, because the Liturgy is meant to be in-house for internal adoration, there are no readings, psalms, hymns or other activities aimed at the online audience of the faithful. The faithful online can follow what is happening in the chapel in real time, but the transmission will be silent.
Benediction & Conclusion
The presiding Canon Regular gathers the thurible, pours in it 3 spoonfuls of incense, blesses it, closes the lid and returns to the prie-dieu, kneels, and incenses the Most Holy Sacrament 3 x 3 times + 3 x 3 times + 3 x 3 times. Meanwhile, the following Hymn is sung, or if it is to be recited, the presiding Canon recites it after incensing the Holy Sacrament:

The presiding Canon Regular, reposes the thurible, returns to the prie-dieu, kneels again and recites the Collect prayer as follows:

Benediction & Conclusion [cont.]
The presiding Canon Regular, now rises, gathers the Humeral Veil, puts it on, genuflects, and taking up the Blessed Sacrament in the monstrance, turns to face the cameras, or the congregation if one is physically present, and makes a large sign of the cross with the monstrance, in complete silence.
Reposition
The presiding Canon Regular now reposes the monstrance, removes the Blessed Sacrament consecrated Host and places it in the pyx, inside the Tabernacle. He then genuflects, rises and closes the Tabernacle door.
Now returning to the prie-dieu, the presiding Canon Regular recites the Divine Praises, as follows:
Blessed be God.
Blessed be His Holy Name.
Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true man.
Blessed be the Name of Jesus.
Blessed be His most Sacred Heart.
Blessed be His most Precious Blood.
Blessed be Jesus in the most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete.
Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most holy.
Blessed be her Holy and Immaculate Conception.
Blessed be her glorious Assumption.
Blessed be the name of Mary, Virgin and Mother.
Blessed be Saint Joseph, Her most chaste spouse.
Blessed be God in His Angels and in His Saints.
Conclusion
After the Divine Praises are completed, the presiding Canon Regular leaves the altar and retires to the Sacristy.

Ministers may opt for one of the following liturgical vestments:
In-house Eucharistic Exposition liturgies and public informal liturgies, online or onsite: Black cassock and black fascia, white cotta, and stole in the colour proper of time or standard golden colour stole replacing the proper of time. Or…
In-house Eucharistic Exposition liturgies and public formal and informal liturgies, online or onsite: White alb and white cincture, and stole in either the colour proper of time, or a golden stole replacing whatever the colour proper of time may be. Or…
In-house Eucharistic Exposition liturgies and public formal and SOLEMN liturgies, online or onsite: White alb and white cincture, stole and matching cope in either the colour proper of time, or golden stole and matching cope, replacing whatever the colour proper of time may be.
NOTE: In all cases above, a Humeral Veil is mandatory for the Benediction, in the colour proper of time, or golden, replacing whatever the colour proper of time may be.
